DATE: 2008-07-26
TIME: 9 a.m.
LOCATION: Minneapolis/St. Paul
DESCRIPTION: Experience the Mississippi River in a whole new way! Sign up for the 2008 Great River Energy Mississippi River Challenge today! Held on July 26th and 27th, 2008, cyclists will journey along the river as it weaves through Minneapolis and St. Paul. This 22-mile, Saturday-only route will highlight scenic vistas, historic areas and a view of the Metro area from a whole new vantage point. This year, our mid-ride is 38 miles of beautiful views in and around the Lake Minnetonka area and surrounding communities. Once again, we offer a 16-mile family ride that also appeals to the trail enthusiast. In addition, we have added a "2-Mile-Smile Ride" for younger bikers (ages 4-7) which takes place the evening of July 28 (please visit our 2-Mile-Smile info. in the July 28 calendar section).
